The head teacher of a special needs school in Ottershaw has collected her OBE from Buckingham Palace.

Janet Dunn, of children's communication charity I CAN, is head teacher of Meath School of Brox Road, and was made an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List last year.
She collected the award, for services to children with special educational needs and their families, on Monday January 4, with her brother, sister-in-law and mother by her side.
Toad Hall Nursery in Ottershaw took part in a Big Toddle on August 14 to raise money for Barnardos.
A group of 14 children, aged six months to four-years-old, wore fancy dress and accompanied parents and staff from the nursery in Brox Road through the woods.
They went to a clearing where they did some running to tie in with the Olympics.
Bupa volunteers toiled in the rain on to transform the garden of Meath School for special needs children.
The 40 workers spent time at the Brox Road school redoing the overgrown and previously unused pond area to create a quiet space for children. It will be used for science lessons.
